Technical Tip: How to fix authentication issues on HPE Aruba switches by adjusting the framed MTU attribute

Description This article describes how to fix authentication issues on HPE Aruba switches by adjusting the framed MTU attribute. Starting from FortiNAC version 7.6.4, FortiNAC includes the 'Framed-MTU' RADIUS attribute by default in the RADIUS Access-Accept response. Due to this Framed-MTU attribute, Aruba changes the port's MTU value.
Scope FortiNAC-F.
Solution
  1. FortiNAC firmware v7.2.x does not send the Framed-MTU attribute.

  2. Add the Framed-MTU attribute with value 1500 on the RFC attribute associated with the HPE Aruba Switches under Network -> RADIUS -> Attribute Groups:
