Technical Tip: FortiNAC does not send disconnect message to Aruba CX 6100

Description This article describes the RADIUS attributes that FortiNAC requires for sending a disconnect message to the Aruba CX 6100 Switch.
Scope FortiNAC-F v7.6.2.
Solution

FortiNAC does not send the Disconnect Message (DM) with the default RFC_VLAN attribute group.


In the model configuration of the switch, under the RADIUS section, use custom RFC5176 Mode, keeping the RFC_VLAN(Default) in the Additional Attribute Group while adding RFC5176 Message type 'Disconnect Message' with the following attribute:

 

User-Name Attribute (1)
NAS-IP-Address Attribute (4)
NAS-Port Attribute (5)
Calling-Station-Id Attribute (31)
