Technical Tip: Firmware upgrade for setups running v7.6.3 or newer, the firmware is up to date
| Description | This article describes the changes to the firmware update procedure in newer versions of FortiNAC. |
| Scope | FortiNAC v7.6.3 and later versions. |
| Solution | In newer versions of FortiNAC, the firmware file will no longer be downloaded directly from 'fnac-updates.fortinet.net', instead, it will use the FortiGuard servers. Sometimes this procedure can take more time.
If the upgrade needs to be performed quickly, the new firmware file can be downloaded directly from the user portal, as shown below:
Download the firmware file for the appropriate hypervisor or hardware appliance (with the .out extension) and upload it directly through the FortiNAC UI:
To speed up the new firmware discovery process, the following commands can be run from the CLI:
fnacf-prim # diagnose fdsm image-list 07006000FIMG1200406004 v7.6 MR6-GA P4 b0782 (downgrade) 07006000FIMG1200406006 v7.6 MR6-GA P6 b0900 (upgrade) |
