Technical Tip: Check RADIUS historical event data and authentication statistics

This article describes how to enable and check RADIUS historical authentication data and statistics in FortiNAC-F.

Scope

FortiNAC-F.

Solution

To track authentication statistics, enable 'Activity Monitoring' in Network -> RADIUS.

Statistics can be checked in the 'Activity' tab on the top right.

The activity dashboard becomes very useful when a large amounts of events are logged in FortiNAC. This makes it easier for Administrators to identify issues or patterns that could provide insights on unusual behavior.

By selecting any entry, it is possible to see details of the Host that failed the authentication.

By adding the RADIUS widget in the FortiNAC main dashboard, Administrators can change views in the form of a chart or table and investigate specific activity through timespan filters.
