Troubleshooting Tip: FortiNAC Database Archive/Purge Failure Alert

Description This article describes the issue where the Database Archive/Purge Failure Alert in FortiNAC occurred because the SSH remote backup server key was changed.
Scope FortiOS
Solution
  1. Log in to the FortiNAC GUI.

  2. Go to System -> Settings -> System Management -> Remote Backup Configuration.

  1. Verify the SSH Remote Backup configuration and the SSH key on both FortiNAC and the remote backup server.

  2. If the keys do not match, update the SSH remote backup server with the key from FortiNAC.

  3. Select Test SSH connection to ensure it returns a successful result.


After that, run the Database Archive/Purge from System -> Schedule, and it should complete successfully and validate the Database Archive/Purge Success event under the Events & Alarm section.
