Troubleshooting Tip: Cannot register new devices on the network

This article describes how to handle an issue where the user cannot register new devices on the network.


Scope

 

All supported versions of FortiNAC.

 

Solution

 
Issue: It is not possible to register a new device to a common user, due to the error message 'Exceeded Physical limit'.

The allowed host limit on the user (default is 1000) was exceeded.

Solution: Increase the value to the User (2000) allowed host.
  1. Navigate to System -> Settings -> Allowed Hosts.
  2. Enter the desired value and click Save Settings.
