Troubleshooting Tip: 4.x Windows Persistent Agent Displays Icon When ShowIcon is Disabled
Description
This article describes an issue with the Persistent Agent icon which displays on a Windows Host even though the ShowIcon registry key value was set to disabled (0) via GPO or some other software push method.
Scope

Version: Persistent Agent 4.0 and 4.1.0,
Windows.
Solution
Agents running version 4.0 or 4.1.0 ignore the ShowIcon registry key value if it is set in HKLMSoftwareBradford NetworksClient Security Agent.
To be addressed in a future Agent release.
Workaround: Set the ShowIcon registry key value using HKLMSoftwarePoliciesBradford NetworksPersistent Agent.
