Technical Tip: VLANs do not switch based on IP phone
Description
This article describes the behavior of FortiNAC when VLANs are not switched on a managed port when an IP Phone connects.
Scope
FortiNAC and IP Phones.
Solution
This is functioning as designed. Devices registered with Device Type 'IP Phone' are ignored when determining the VLAN for the port. FortiNAC provides visibility and control for endpoints connecting behind IP Phones and does not provide any special integration logic related to the IP Phone model/vendor.
