Technical Tip: New AD Security Groups Not Displaying in Administrative UI
Description
This article describes how to make sure that new AD Security Groups are added in FortiNAC.
Scope
FortiNAC, FortiNAC-F.
Solution
After creating a new group in Active Directory, the group does not appear in the groups view in FortiNAC.To make sure the group is imported in FortiNAC perform the following actions.
- Navigate to System -> Settings -> Authentication -> LDAP.
- Highlight applicable directory and select the Modify button.
- Select Groups.

- Check the box next to the new group.
- Select OK.
- Select System -> Scheduler -> Synchronize Users with Directory.
- Select Run Now.

Once the directory has completed synchronizing, the group should appear in the groups view.
