This article describes how to solve an issue with macOS Sierra (10.12) when it is not listed in the Operating System section of a scan.

Solution

 
Issue: macOS Sierra (10.12) is not listed in the Operating System section of a scan. If scans are configured to look for certain Mac OSX operating systems, Sierra machines will fail.

Workaround: Bypass the OS Check by de-selecting all OS versions for the scan.

Solution: Support for Mac OS 10.12 (Sierra) is now available as of the September 23, 2016 Auto-Definitions update. Refer to Support for MacOS 10.12, 'Sierra', in Network Sentry.
