Description

This article describes a scenario where MacOS agent does not communicate when using internally issued SSL Certificates.

Scope

Version: Agents 4.0.x - 5.0.3.

Solution

Issue: MacOS Persistent Agent will not connect to Network Sentry with security enabled if using an internally issued SSL certificate.

The macOS Persistent Agent does not load internally issued SSL certificates in the right locations on the host. This prevents the host from trusting the agent connection to Network Sentry.

This issue does not affect environments where a third-party public certificate is used.

This issue is to be addressed in the next agent release.
