Technical Tip: Local RADIUS does not start after upgrade to 8.8
Description
This article describes the case when it is impossible to enable the Local RADIUS Server in UI after upgrading to 8.8.
Scope
Version: 8.8.
Solution
Verify the following:
- All centOS updates have been completed. 8.8 software upgrade automatically downloads and installs Winbind and radiusd CentOS files for the Local Radius Server feature on the Control Server(s). If access is blocked, the software upgrade may be completed, but the required files will not be installed.
Review the update_log with the appropriate time stamp in the /bsc/campusMgrUpdate/ directory and look for errors. See the related KB article below for details.
- Valid SSL certificates have been installed for the Local RADIUS Server (EAP) certificate target. See the section Certificate Management of the Administration Guide for details.
