Technical Tip: Hosts are registered as Devices rather than to a user
Description
This article describes the behavior where a host unexpectedly becomes registered as a Device instead of being registered to a user record.
The behavior can occur if a host becomes unregistered (through aging or some other mechanism) and then matches a feature configured to automatically register a Rogue as a Device. Possible features include:

- Passive Agent Rule (used in conjunction with the Persistent or Passive Agent)
- Credential Configuration (Register as a Device if a Persistent Agent is detected on the host)
Scope
