Technical Tip: Hosts are failing scans immediately after upgrade
Description
This article describes an issue where hosts fail scans after an upgrade. Hosts that were passing certain scans fail the same scans after upgrading FortiNAC.
Upgrading the production version reverts the Auto-Definitions to those installed at the time the new code was released. This will most likely be older than the last Auto-Definitions downloaded prior to the upgrade.
Scope
FortiNAC Version: 8.x, 9.x & F 7.x
Solution
After upgrading, it is highly recommended to re-run the Auto-Def Update Synchronization scheduled task to get the most recent definitions for Anti-Virus, Anti-Spyware and the valid vendor codes.
