Solution
Specified recipients are not receiving self-registration request emails. output.master log file displays errors for those emails stating they are not valid sponsors.
To receive a self-registration request, the following pre-requisites are required:
For example, if multiple emails are listed in that field but only one of them represented a valid admin user with the Self Registration Requests permission, then only that one would receive the email.
Solution
To receive a self-registration request, the following pre-requisites are required:
- The sponsor email must be the email of an admin user in FortiNAC.
- The admin user must also have an Admin Profile with the Self Registration Requests permission.
For example, if multiple emails are listed in that field but only one of them represented a valid admin user with the Self Registration Requests permission, then only that one would receive the email.
Solution
- Navigate to System > Portal Configuration > Registration > Self Registration Login > Default Sponsor Email to obtain the list of sponsor emails configured.
- Verify specified sponsor email belongs to an admin user.
- Navigate to Users -> Admin Users.
- From the Add Filter dropdown, select Email
- Enter the sponsor email and select Update. 3) If not an admin user, change it to an admin user account. Refer to the online Help topic 'Add An Admin User For Guest Manager' for instructions.
- Verify the admin user has an Admin Profile with the Self Registration Requests permission. If one needs to be created, refer to the online Help topic 'Add A Guest Self Registration Admin Profile' for instructions.
