Solution
This solution describes how to expire Guest hosts daily when not using Guest Manager. The guest Manager provides additional implementation options.
See Solution 1863 for Custom Guest Management changes as of Network Sentry 7.3.2 and 8.0.
- If a local or LDAP user has been added to Network Sentry under the Users -> User View, 'right-click' on the new user record and select User Properties.
- Set Expiration Date to 'Never'.
- Edit the Custom Login page under System > Portal Configuration > Registration > Custom Login Form.
Configure the following:
- Host Expiration Period Enabled (selected)
- Host Expiration Period Unit: Day
- Host Expiration Period Value: 1
- Select 'APPLY'. All hosts that register with the Custom Login page will be deleted from Network Sentry after 1 day.
The newly created username and password can be hard set and hidden on the page as well to eliminate the need for sharing the credentials.
