Description

This article describes the behavior where default administrator profiles (Operator, Help Desk, Profile_Sample and Security Analyst) will not have permissions configured in new appliance installations with certain software versions.

Any users created and assigned one of the default profiles will be lacking permissions and will not be able to log in correctly.

Scope Version: 9.2.0, 9.2.1 and 9.2.2
Solution

Workaround:  Manually configured the permissions.

1) Navigate to Users & Hosts> Administrators.
2) Select the Profiles button at the upper right corner.
3) Select the desired system-generated admin profile (e.g., Operator, Help Desk, Security Analyst, etc.)
4) Select the Modify button.
5) Select the Permissions tab in the resulting Modify Admin Profile dialog.
6) Select the check boxes related to the desired permissions - see below for the list of defaults per admin profile type.
