Technical Note: Scenarios when VLAN information is updated during L2 Poll
Description
Typically, the "Update VLANs" and "L2 Poll" functions run separately for a given modeled device. However, VLAN information will be updated during the L2 Polling process for a device under one of the following conditions:
- It is the first time reading the device (such as when it is added to Topology).
- Sometime during the polling interval, contact with the switch was lost.
- The switch's uptime is less than what it was at the last poll. This would suggest the switch rebooted and a VLAN update is needed.
