How to Enable L3 Polling on an L3 Switch or Router
Solution
Turn on L3 polling on an L3 Capable Device by doing the following in the GUI of Network Sentry
1. Navigate to Network Devices > L3 Polling (L3 > Mac)
2. Add a filter for the container that has the L3 switch or router
3. Select the radial button for all devices
4. Click update
5. Highlight the switch or router
6. Click Add to Group
7. Use the drop down to select L3 (L3 > Mac)
8. Click OK
9. Click the Set Polling button
10. Put a check mark in the Enable Polling checkbox
11. Fill out the polling interval
12. Use the drop down to select the priority
13. Click OK
