Technical Note: Host with Persistent Agent Not Isolated After Losing Persistent Agent Connectivity
Description
Solution
Host with Persistent Agent Not Isolated After Losing Persistent Agent Connectivity
Solution
Issue: If Network Sentry loses contact with a host's Persistent Agent, that host is not placed in Remediation.
There are numerous reasons why Network Sentry can lose contact with the Persistent Agent and they can be due to larger issues. For example, a temporary network disruption can cause a large number of Persistent Agents to be temporarily unreachable.
Solution: An alarm can be configured to trigger when a host with a Persistent Agent is no longer reachable. For instructions, refer to the document Detecting Persistent Agent Scans Not Performed.
