Technical Note: Failover not working after configuring High Availability (HA)
Description
In a newly configured High Availability (HA) environment, the failover process does not work as expected. Example: If the processes on the primary control server are stopped, the Secondary Control Server and both Application Servers show a status of "In Control."
Applying the HA configuration restarts the Control Process on the secondary server(s) but not the primary server(s).

Solution
Workaround: After applying the HA Configuration, restart the control process or reboot all appliances. To reboot, navigate to System > Settings > Power Management.
Solution: Addressed in version 8.2.10 and higher.
