Technical Note: Cisco WLC Port Channel not classified as Learned Uplink
Description
Scope
Version: 8.8.1 and above
Solution
Port channel connected between Cisco switch and Cisco WLC is not being tagged as a Learned Uplink. All wireless clients connected to the controller's WLANs as well as the controller itself show up as hosts/adapters.
Example:
Po40 port channel is comprised of two interfaces (Te1/5 and Te2/5) as a Port Aggregate Uplink. Both Te1/5 and Te2/5 are classified as a Port Aggregate Uplink but Po40 port channel is not.
Cisco switch port channel interface support was added in version 8.8.1 (ID 0588911).
