Troubleshooting Tip: Unable to force lock ADOM using 'Lock Anyway' after upgrading the FortiManager

The workspace lock override option does not work after upgrading the FortiManager to v7.4.x, the 'Lock Confirmation' page does not appear with the 'Lock Anyway' option. In some cases, this may be seen after upgrading the FortiManager from v7.2.x to v7.4.x.

The following one-time workaround should re-enable the option 'Lock Anyway'.

Step 1:

config system global
    set lock-preempt disable
end

Step 2: Log out of FortiManager.

Step 3: Log in to FortiManager.

Step 4:

config system global
    set lock-preempt enable
end

Step 5: Log out of FortiManager.

Step 6: Log in to FortiManager and test.
