Troubleshooting Tip: SSID shows as undefined in AP Manager

Description

This article describes how to troubleshoot SSID shown as undefined in AP Manager, where it should be present under: AP Manager -> SSIDs -> SSIDs.

Scope

FortiManager, FortiAP.

Solution

Run a sanity command below to check and database error and rectify it:

diagnose cdb upgrade check +all
diagnose cdb upgrade force-retry resync-dbcache
diagnose cdb upgrade force-retry repair-missing-attr-ref
diagnose cdb upgrade force-retry add-missing-ref
diagnose cdb upgrade force-retry clear-max-policyid
diagnose cdb upgrade force-retry resync-assignment-obj-cache
diagnose cdb upgrade force-retry resync-controller-adom-config
diagnose cdb upgrade force-retry upgrade-normalized-intf
diagnose cdb upgrade force-retry reload-template-action

After running the command and the issue persists, import the AP Profiles again in Device Manager.

Device Manager -> Device & Groups -> Managed FortiGate -> Select FortiGate -> Import Configuration -> Import AP Profiles.

Then check again the SSID, undefined is no longer present.
