Description This article describes how to troubleshoot the 'Error occurred, please try login later.' message when attempting to log in to FortiManager.
Scope FortiManager VM, FortiAnalyzer VM.
Solution
  1. When trying to log in to FortiManager VM using a trial license, FortiManager prompts an error: 'Error occurred, please try login later.'.

  1. Run debug as below and try to log in again:

 

diagnose debug application curl 255
diagnose debug enable

 

  1. In this scenario, the debug output shows:

 

Error when retrieving trial license from FortiClouds : Error occurred, please try again later.

 

  1. Therefore, to resolve this issue, the FortiManager VM must have connectivity to FortiCloud.

  2. Or download a VM license from Support and upload it manually as a quick workaround.
