Troubleshooting Tip: FortiManager v7.2.8 installation fails on FortiGate v7.2.10

While pushing device settings from FortiManager v7.2.8 to FortiGate v7.2.10, the following error is encountered and fails to install the settings:

install failed

The installation fails because FortiGate does not recognize the mac-filter command. Check whether this setting is enabled on the device manager CLI and ADOM level CLI configurations.

1. Device manager setting:

• Select the Device -> CLI Configurations -> Wireless-Controller -> Vap.
• Select the vap and select 'Edit'.
• Verify mac-filter is disabled.

2. ADOM level setting:

• Go to Policy & Objects -> Object Configurations -> CLI Configurations -> wireless-controller -> vap.
• Edit the vap and verify that mac-filter is disabled.
