Technical Tip: Select a specific version of FortiManager/FortiAnalyzer in AWS Cloud

When provisioning a new FortiManager or FortiAnalyzer, the instance will be provisioned with the latest firmware version by default.

To provision a specific firmware version:

1. Browse to AWS Marketplace:

2. Select Discover Products, then select the required AMI.

(By default in this case, version 7.2.11 will be provisioned.)

3. After selecting the product, the product details will be listed.

In the Usage information section, the available firmware versions for the selected AMI will be listed:

4. After selecting the 'View Purchase Options' button, the prompt to subscribe will be displayed.
   
   

After subscribing completes, a confirmation email from AWS will be received, but the EC2 instance will not be launched.

5. Launch the instance by selecting 'launch your software'.
   
   

6. When launching the instance, make sure to select the firmware version and select the Launch button.
   
   

7. When the launch has completed a confirmation message will be displayed.
