Technical Tip: Metadata variable for SD-WAN templates
| Description | This article describes how to use metadata variables into FortiManager SD-WAN templates. |
| Scope | FortiManager v7.2. |
| Solution | If an SD-WAN template is used and it is applied to many FortiGates, metadata variables can be configured to set a gateway IP address (Interface Member, Cost and Priority as well). After creating metadata variables, add FortiGate gateway IP address information for multiple IPs into Per-Device Mapping.
Note: A Metadata variable's default value must either be a valid IP address or left blank. If any non-IP text or invalid value is entered in this field, an error will occur when saving the SD-WAN template.
