Technical Tip: List Signatures of FortiClient/FortiMail when FortiManager acts as Local FDS in a closed network

Description This article describes how to list Signatures of FortiMail and FortiClient from FortiManager when FortiManager acts as a Local FDS in a closed network.
Scope FortiMail, FortiClient, FortiManager.
Solution

When FortiManager is in a closed network, it cannot reach FortiGuard to update the latest Signature of FortiClient and FortiMail.


To get the Signature for FortiClient and FortiMail, go to Support Portal -> Support -> Service Updates.

After downloading the package based on the product (FortiClient and FortiMail), import it to the FortiGuard section in FortiManager.

As the Signature was downloaded from the Support Portal, not all of the signatures that existed were included as 'default' Signatures.

 

FortiMail Signature list:

 

Virus DB: 93.018XXXXXXX
Extended DB: 91.XXXXX
AntiSpam DB: 7.0XXXXXX
Certificate Bundle: 1.0XXXXXXXX

 

FortiMail Signature list from FortiManager in a closed network:

 

 AVDB : 93.0XXXX ( Virus DB )
 ETDB : 91.0XXXX ( Extended DB )

 

FortiClient Signature list:

 

AntiVirus: 93.0XX
AntiVirus Extended: 93.01XXX
AntiVirus Extreme: 1.0XXXX

Application Firewall: 31.0XXX
Vulnerability: 1.0XXXX
