Technical Tip: How to Troubleshoot HA Widget Synchronization in FortiManager following a FortiGate RMA

| Solution | Once the replacement of the defective unit is made, make sure that both FortiGate devices are in HA Sync. On FortiManager, navigate to the Device Manager tab, and under Device & Group, select the managed cluster. In the HA Status widget, verify that the new secondary device appears 'Synchronized':
If it is not visible, select the 'Refresh' button:
If it is still not visible, the fgfm tunnel has likely not been established. To manually establish the fgfm tunnel, execute the following command in the FortiManager command line:
exec fgfm reclaim-dev-tunnel <device name>
The faulty FortiGate will remain on the FortiGate dashboard - HA widget with unknown status. From the 'Device & Groups' section, select the master device, then select 'Edit' and remove the faulty unit from the HA section:
