Technical Tip: How to activate FortiToken Mobile for FortiGate via FortiManager

FortiTokens for FortiGates cannot be activated directly from FortiManager. The solution is to use a FortiManager script.

1. First, obtain the 20-digit activation-code on the redemption certificate associated with the EFTM license.
2. In FortiManager Device Manager -> Scripts -> Create New: Set run on 'Remote FortiGate Directly (via CLI)' and use the command below:

execute fortitoken-mobile import 0000-0000-0000-0000-0000 <----- Activation code.

Note:

If FortiGate Admin Credentials are known, then the same command can be run by connecting to FortiGate CLI in FortiManager. Refer to the article: Technical Tip: How to connect to FortiGate CLI using FortiManager.
