This article describes some ADOM best practices on FortiManager.

Solution

Before upgrades:

1. Install any pending device settings and policy package changes, or retrieve the device configuration.

2. After installation, make sure policy packages and device configurations are all synchronized.

After upgrades: Devices and ADOMs:

1. Check the installation preview to identify any changes caused by the upgrade.

2. Check if the changes to be installed are acceptable.

Device migrated to a different ADOM:

1. Shared policy packages and objects will not move to the new ADOM.

2. Can import policies and objects.
