Technical Tip: custom IPS signatures in FortiManager

This article describes how to create custom IPS signatures in FortiManager.
Solution
By default, the option to create custom signatures in FortiManager is disabled.
Follow the below image to enable the option:
Once the option is enabled, 'custom IPS Signature' is visible as an option in 'Security Profiles'.
It is possible to create the custom signatures referring to the below document:
Once clicked on 'Create New', here will be the display:
After creating a custom signature(s), it is possible to call them in Intrusion prevention profiles and further can be pushed to the FortiGate(s).
