Technical Tip: Change password for FortiGate from FortiManager

This article describes how to change the password for FortiGate from FortiManager.
Scope
FortiManager.
Solution
Go to Device Manager -> Device and Groups, and then double-click the entry to modify.
In this example, double-click 'FWF60E'.
Select Display Options.
On Display Options, select ' Customize', enable 'Administrators', then select 'OK'.
Go to Dashboard -> Administrators.
Choose the username to edit. In this example, select 'test' and select'Edit'.
After the password change, select 'OK'.Go on Managed Fortigate, 'Config Status' will change as 'Modified'.Go on Install -> Install Config.Select 'OK'.Select 'Finish'.The Config Status will show Synchronized. After that, login to FortiGate using new password.
