After a FortiOS upgrade, FortiManager cannot automatically tell if the policy package it has is the same or different, so it sets the status 'unknown'.

The following steps can be performed to set the status of Policy Package to 'synchronized'.

  1. Re-import the policy package from FortiGate to FortiManager.
  2. Reinstall the policy package on the FortiGate from FortiManager.
