Troubleshooting Tip: How to troubleshoot token field not appear in login page for webmail
| Description | This article describes how to troubleshoot the secure token field not appearing in the webmail GUI login page when configuring FortiMail MFA with FortiAuthenticator. |
| Scope | FortiMail Server mode. |
| Solution | FortiMail configured MFA login with FortiAuthenticator. The configuration is following the KB article Technical Tip: MFA on FortiMail for webmail and admin logging correctly, but when logging in to webmail, the login failed, and there is no secure token field appearing in login page.
To troubleshoot this issue, check the Inbound Recipient Policy for any Authentication Profile applied in the Authentication and Access.
By default, in FortiMail server mode, this option is not available. This option is only available in FortiMail server mode if 'set email-migration-status' is set to enable as per below.
config system global set email-migration-status enable end
If FortiMail is deployed as a gateway or transparent mode, following the KB article Technical Tip: MFA on FortiMail for webmail and admin logging, should not have this issue when doing MFA webmail login. To solve this issue in FortiMail server mode, set the Authentication type to '--None--' in Authentication and Access.
It will show the secure token field when logging in to webmail using MFA with FortiAuthenticator.
