Description

 

This article describes that only the AntiSpam scan is bypassed. Antivirus and Content scans are not.

 

Scope

 

FortiMail.

 

Solution

 

If AntiVirus scans occur, but Antispam and Content scans do not verify that Safelists are not too permissive. SafeList entries cause the FortiMail unit to omit the AntiSpam scan.

 

Additionally, verify that the 'Bypass scan on SMTP authentication' option (located under Profile -> Antispam) is disabled.
