Technical Tip: How to remove the 'Received:' header from email header

Description

This article describes how to remove the 'Received:' header from the email header.

Scope

FortiMail version 7.0.

Solution
  1. By default,  the 'Received:' header will be visible in email header.

  1. It is possible go to the session profile (currently in used) and look for Header Manipulation.

  2. Enable the option 'Remove received header'.

In 7.6.4, the GUI has been changed.

  1. Select 'OK' to save the new change.

  2. Now, the 'Received:' header is removed from the email header.
