Technical Tip: How to get backup configuration, download trace log and email logs from FortiMail

This article describes how to get backup configuration, download a trace log, and search and collect the detailed email logs from FortiMail.
Scope
FortiMail.
Solution
- To get a backup configuration file, go to System -> Maintenance -> Configuration.
- To download the trace log, go to System -> Utility -> Trace Log.
- To search for and find history logs, go to Monitor -> Log -> History -> Search (it can be searched by Session ID, From, To…).
Select the Download button to download history logs.
- To get detailed session logs, select the Session ID from the previous steps. It will open a new cross-search result tab.
Select the Download button to Download the cross-search result tab.
