Technical Tip: How to enable REST API globally and for specific Administrator on FortiMail

Enable the REST API under the web service:

CLI:

FML # config system web-service  FML (web-service) # set rest-api-status enable  FML (web-service) # end

GUI:

1. Navigate to System -> Configuration -> Web Service -> Enable REST API.

2. Enable the REST API under the administrator who will be used to log in, using REST API commands.

1. Navigate to System -> Administrator -> Select Edit.
                                                                             

2. Make sure to enable the REST API for the chosen administrator.
