Technical Tip: How to disable delivery notification message in user’s email

Description
This article describes how to disable delivery notification message (delivery status notification , DSN) in email of the user when it fails or succeed.

Solution
- In some situation, Fortimail’s user gets delivery notification message from FortiMail as below.

The original message was received at Mon, 29 Jun 2020 15:15:45 +0500
From:
<YourAccountName@yourDomainName.com>

----- The following address has successful delivery notification -----
<yourAccountName@yourDomainName.com>  (relayed to non-DSN-aware mailer)

-----  Transcript of session follows  -----
<yourAccountName@yourDomainName.com>… relayed; expect no further notifications

- To stop sending delivery notification message above to the email’s user, consider to follow the step as below.

Go to System -> Mail Settings -> Mail Server Settings -> DSN -> DSN(NDR)email generation : disable and select 'Apply'.
