Technical Tip: How to create exceptions to the FortiGuard Antispam Rating Analysis

Description

This article describes how to create a list of URLs that are exempt from FortiGuard Antispam rating.
This can be useful in certain cases. For example: a FortiGuard URL classification is temporarily incorrect, and an exception needs to be created.

Scope FortiMail v7.2.x, v7.4.x, v7.6.x.
Solution

Go to Security -> URL Filter -> Override Rating.

Create a new entry for the URL that requires exemption from the FortiGuard Antispam rating by selecting the option:

local-exempt.
