Description

This article describes how to configure Windows Server 2019 to function as a NAS for FortiMail.

Scope

FortiMail, Window Server 2019.

Solution

Navigate under the Windows Server 2019.
Select Add roles and features.
Under the server role, expand File and iSCSI Services.
Check on the checkbox for 'Server for NFS'.

Let the installation finish.
Navigate under the Server Manager -> File and Storage Services -> Shares.
Use the New Share Wizard, set up NFS Share - Quick or Advanced.

Choose a custom path by selecting the radio button 'Type a custom path'.

Finish the setup and grant the necessary permission to the Shared folder.
In FortiMail, navigate under System -> Mail Setting -> Storage.
Under Option, choose NAS and fill up the necessary information such as IP address and Directory.

Select Test... and 'NAS works properly.' should appear if properly configured.
