Technical Tip: How to configure multiple sender's address as one entry in the sender address rate exemption list in FortiMail

Description This article describes how to configure multiple sender addresses as one entry in the sender address rate exemption list in FortiMail.
Scope FortiMail v7.6.3, v7.6.4 and v8.0.
Solution
  1. Go to FortiMail Admin GUI -> Domain & User -> Domain -> 'Edit your domain' -> Advanced Setting -> Sender Address Rate Control.
  2. Select the 'Exempt List…'.
  3. For this example, add both user3@ftnt.org and user4@ftnt.org as one entry using the Regular Expression: ^(user3|user4)@ftnt\.org$.

  4. With the configuration above, the Sender Address Rate Control exemption will be working for the user3@ftnt.org and user4@ftnt.org.
