Technical Tip : FortiMail Email False Negative Handling

Description This article provides the procedure for handling false negative emails on FortiMail systems. It describes the method for submitting missed spam samples to FortiGuard for analysis and registration in the AntiSPAM database.
Scope This procedure applies to cases where emails have bypassed FortiMail’s spam filtering and need to be classified as spam by the user. The submission must be performed by the user and does not involve any response or confirmation from Fortinet.
Solution

To classify a false negative email as spam, attach the missed spam email as a file and send it to submitspam@fortinet.com. The FortiGuard team will analyze the sample and register it in the AntiSPAM database.

 

No response or action will be taken towards the sender of the submission.
