Technical Tip: Adding FortiMail as Fabric Connector to FortiGate Security Fabric

This article describes how to add a FortiMail device as a Fabric Connector to the FortiGate SF.

Scope
Any version that supports FortiMail and FortiGate.
Solution
Enter the following command on the FortiMail unit:
config system global
set rest-api enable
set fabric-api-token <passwd>
end
The password may be alphanumeric.
After, add the Fortinet Security Fabric connector on the FortiGate.
Select Generate and enter the username and password of the FortiMail super admin account, then select OK.
It adds the same <passwd> set in FortiMail as the access token.
