Description This article describes how to troubleshoot Antivirus Database Status showing 'Latest Antivirus Extension databases have not been downloaded yet'.
Scope FortiIsolator.
Solution

From GUI:

 

  1. Go to Dashboard. Under System Information widget. Select 'Update Now'.

  1. Wait for a few minutes. Then refresh the widget using the refresh icon (top right of the widget).

  2. If the Antivirus Database Status still showing the same status, proceed to the CLI option below.

     

From CLI:

 

  1. SSH to the FortiIsolator and login.
  2. Verify the FortiIsolator has Internet access.

    ping service.fortiguard.net

  3. Execute the command below to update (the command should show some outputs before showing the status).

    update-nowupdate-avupdate-wf

 

Example of output:

  1. If the Antivirus Database Status still shows the same status, attach the CLI outputs (Step 1 and Step 2) while raising a ticket for TAC to review them.
