Technical Note: What is an Alert

There are two types of alert within FortiInsight.

Policy Alerts

Policy alerts are alerts which have been fired by policies you have defined.  If an event meets the conditions you have defined in a policy, an alert will show on the 'Policy Alerts' page.

AI Alerts

AI alerts are alerts which have been fired by FortiInsight AI.  If AI detects anomalous behaviour based on an event, or a number of surrounding events, an AI alert will show on the 'AI Alerts' page
