Technical Note: FortiInsight password security parameters

The FortiInsight console requires that your password must be at least 8 characters, with no restrictions as to the makeup of that password. The password is salted and hashed, and never stored in plaintext. 

We recommend that you use a long, randomly generated string as your password which you can record with a password manager.
