Question

Deploying FortiGate VM into Existing VNET

I've been working with deploying FortiGate Azure Application from the marketplace and have been having issues trying to deploy into an existing VNET and I'm wondering if it is possible?  Deploying to a new VNET works without issue, but when deploying into an existing VNET, I get errors during the deployment.  It creates the NICs and public IP, but error after that saying it can't find the NICs or public IP.  I got it to work once by creating the NICs and Public IP ahead of time but could not access the FortiGate through the public IP.

Has anyone worked with deploying into an existing VNET?

    Hi,

    Thank you for reaching out.

The ARM templates have been created with the option to deploy in an existing VNET. It does require you to create the subnets up front as well. The Azure Marketplace UI doesn't allow us to create subnets in an existing subnet. If the subnets is not the issue. We would need to review the error message and inputs from the deployment in Microsoft Azure.

    Regards,

I'll do some more testing and grab some errors to post here later.  Thanks for replying.
